North Korea is one of the most unique and weird countries out there in the world. The country is currently ruled by Kim Jong Un. Known for it's extremely cruel dictatorship, North Korea is one of the worst countries to live in as said by North Koreans who escaped the country's borders. It's the country that's different from majority of the world. Here are a few of the country's practices and rules that will prove the miserable condition of the people in North Korea

In 2020 North Korea was ranked last in the 'press freedom index'. There are only three government-regulated channels in the country for viewers to watch in the television and all of them are based on politics or show the 'greatness' of North Koreans rulers. Any types of shows, channels or movies other that this is banned to watch in this country.

In the day of July 8, people are banned from smiling, engaging in fun activities or consume alcohol because in this day, the founder of North Korea Kim Sung died. If they smile, they are sentenced to prison

If a person is seeing wearing blue jeans in North Korea, he or she has to go to jail just because it shows american culture. Other foreign dresses are also not allowed in North Korea so people have no other option but to wear traditional clothes

People are not allowed to worship any gods or goddesses, practice religion or possess a Bible because according to the rulers the only deities in the country are the members of the Kim family so only they can be worshipped. There is no religious freedom 

Citizens are not permitted to grow hair the way they like. There are twenty eight hairstyle options in the country and if anyone has a hairstyle other than these options, they are severely punished. Men can not row their hair longer than 2 inches.

It is impossible to buy condoms or feminine hygiene products in North Korea. Most North Koreans don't even know than condoms exist. North Korean women have to use fabric instead of tampons or safety pads which is very unhygienic.

Foreigners are not allowed to take photos or even talk to local without specific permission because the government believes that they are trying to get information on North Korea for planning or destroying the country. They can even get punished for doing so

Ordinary citizens of North Korea don't even have access to wifi or internet and the only operating system that the country's computers have is 'red star'. Imagine not being able to use social medias, watch videos, listen to music, or communicate just because the country doesn't allow you to do so.

In 2008, South Korea stopped the export of fertilizers with North Korea so to carry on the agriculture industry, farmers were told to use human manure. So don't be surprised if you see farmers use human excreta to increase crop fertility in North Korea.

The North Korean system is brutal.
