Checking and composing Email on Gmail
Follow these steps to check and compose email.
step 1 : First open the Gmail site. www.gmail.com
To open Gmail website, open any browser available in your computer and type www.gmail.com in the address bar and press enter key.
step 2 : Log into Gmail
Enter your username and password and click sign in / Next button to sign into your Gmail account.
step 3 : To check your email
Click on Inbox button and click on the email that you want to read.
step 4 : To compose and send email to other.
Click on the compose button. You'll find the compose button in the upper left corner of your screen, below the words ''Google" and "Gmail".
step 5 : Type in a recipient's email address.
Enter a comma and type another email address if there's more than one person you want to send the email to.
step 6 : Click subject text box and write subject for your email.
step 7 : Type your message in the main body of email.
If you want to format your email message click on the underlined A to the right of send reveal the formatting bar. This menu bar can be used to underlined, bold, italicize and many more.
step 8 : To attach a file with email.
We can send files with email message as attachement. To attach a file in email click on the attach files button (paper click button) situated at the buttom of the new message window. Then an Open dialogue box will appear.
step 9 : select your file
Locate the file from your computer that you'd like to attach with the email and click open.
step 10 : Now you can see the name of attached file just below your email message. Finally click on send button below the message box to send your message.
Logging out from email account
The method of closing and quitting from the email account is known as logging out. It is also termed as signing out. The main purpose of logging email is to prevent from unauthorized use.
Follow these steps to log out from the email account.
- Click on the google account button from the top right CORNOR of the Gmail window. Then appear a sub menu. click on sign out button.
