One of the most important features of a country is the strength of it's military. A country with a good and powerful military has higher security, peace, development that others. In the past, there were many wars and outrages throughout the world so military was considered very important at that time. Today in the modern era, most of the countries have peaceful relations with each other but still a country must have a good military just incase If any wars occur.
Today's militaries are highly advanced and posses a lot of power due to modern technologies, training and scientific improvements. Countries are spending billions of dollars every year to develop the most advanced training, technology and weaponry. The çompetit

The military needs to be good in all the sectors ; Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force ,Coast Guard, etc to become the strongest. A country which is dominent in only one branch of military and weak in the other branches is considered weaker than the country with average power in all the sectors.
Different factors come in hand that can shape a good military like the budget the country offers to the military, the advanced to technology of the country, the quality of military training provided, the capability of the army soldiers, the military strategy, etc.
As of 2020, Global Firepower, a website that tracks military strength, says the following five armies are the most powerful, based on a rank given to them after looking at how they compare in categories “ranging from military might and financials to logistical capability and geography”:
5.Japan
For 2021, Japan is ranked 5 of 140 out of the countries considered for the annual GFP review in terms of military power. This nation has an estimated military personnel of 247,160, 152 special mission aircraft – more than any country in the world other than the U.S., according to Global Firepower’s statistics – and a Navy fleet that contains 40 destroyers. It also has 3,130 armored vehicles, 1,004 tanks and 119 attack helicopters. The current budget of the military army in japan is about $41.6 billion. There are about 1,613 aircrafts and 16 submarines in the japanese military. According to the Credit Suisse, japan has the fourth largest submarine fleet in the world and also the fourth largest attack helicopter fleet.

The huge country of Indian has quite a strong military with an estimated 1,444,000 people engaged in the military. With a budget of $50 billion, India has 6,464 tanks, 1,905 total aircrafts, 15 submarines and 4,060 towed artillery. You will be astonished to know that India has the most active manpower of any country aside from China and the US and also has the most tanks and aircraft behind US, China and Rusiia. A large number of nuclear weapons is present in India. The military is the fourth highest military spender as of 2020.
3.China
China has the most powerful military in Asia with the largest active military personnel of 2,183,000. In 2020, China has spent $237 billion in it's military. It has 9,150 tanks, 2,860 total aircraft and 67 submarines. It also has the second largest tank fleet behind Russia and the second largest submarine fleet behind the US. It is the leading military in terms of technologies. It is currently focusing on developing fifth generation aircrafts.
2.Russia
Russia has the second strongest military in the world. It has active military personnel, 15,398 tanks, 3,429 total aircraft, 55 submarines and 3,860 rocket projectors. It has the world's largest tank fleet, the second largest aircraft and the third largest submarine fleet in the world. The russian military has increased by 3 times since 2008 and is expected to grow 44% more in the next three years.

With a massive budget of $601 billion the country's military has active military personnel, tanks, total aircrafts, submarines.
